Our History
Started as a family partnership in 1960, Alpha Inn Management, LLC is a continuation of a family legacy in the hospitality industry. Alpha Inn Management has been able to leverage its hospitality industry experience by constantly generating new ideas, sharing best practices, and improving performance more quickly throughout the company, using the Internet, HCL Nomad - Lotus Domino/Notes, proven telecommunications solutions and the most current web and mobile based business applications.
In addition to being a pioneer of collaboration in the hotel industry, Alpha Inn Management is a hotel asset management, development, and consulting company recognized nationally for developing and managing successful hotel properties, as well as helping turn-around properties, of course by leveraging its collaboration solutions. The AIM focus is on delivering a higher level of hospitality and financial performance for hotel properties. The results we achieve are measurable and based on strategic efforts.
Today, the Internet, collaborative communications solutions and the best technologies available power our management efforts and organization performance.
Alpha Inn Management has a long history of hotel industry accomplishments, recognitions, awards, and superior performance. For more information about our background, please see below. Adam Dubroff
TORCHBEARER + CEO
Adam Dubroff, Chief Executive Officer for Alpha Inn Management (AIM) has combined a hospitality industry background and a vision of computer applications to create cutting-edge collaboration and marketing solutions for hotels.
Dubroff, whose hospitality industry experience started at age 15, has served in various executive, managerial, operations and marketing positions for Residence Inn by Marriott hotels as well as with AMFAC Hotels, Courtyard by Marriott, Homewood Suites, Hampton Inn, Marriott Fairfield Inn & Suites, Staybridge Suites, Ramada, Howard Johnson and Best Western hotels. Identifying a significant gap between leading hospitality industry technology and practical applications, Dubroff began developing custom technology solutions for hotels in 1989. He formed Inn-formation Systems, Inc., in 1991 and became the first hotelier to leverage Lotus Notes' workgroup - collaboration capabilities for hotel management applications. Additionally, Dubroff was the first to introduce free global phone service at the Marriott Residence Inn, New Haven, CT for hotel guests in December 2005 and free domestic long distance service at the Staybridge Suites in Cherry Creek, Colorado in March 2002.
Currently, Dubroff is introducing Alpha Connect - a cloud based, strategic collaboration solution for hospitality management organizations and is working on an Opportunity Zone hotel development project in Winooski, VT.
Since the mid 1980's, Dubroff has led the Alpha Inn Management organization in the development and management of Residence Inn by Marriott hotels as well as other nationally recognized branded hotels. Under Dubroff’s stewardship, Alpha Inn Management has been recognized for superior performance by Marriott International, Hilton Hotels Corporation, and Intercontinental Hotels. AIM hotels have been honored for outstanding service with multiple "Gold Hotel" awards, 1995 "Hotel of the Year", 2001 “Best Conversion”, 2003 Best REVPAR and Yield Growth. Dubroff also served on the Residence Inn System Marketing Fund Board, overseeing the expenditure of $15-20 million in annual marketing expenditures from 1989 to 1997.
Since 1997, Dubroff has orchestrated the acquisitions of the $14.0 million Sovereign Hotel, the $17.0 million Clevelander Hotel in Miami Beach, FL and recently the Ridgway Lodge and Suites along with the development of the $14.5 million Homewood Suites Hotel in Oakland, CA, the $10 million Daddy O Hotel in Miami, FL, and the sale of the $8.9 million Ridgway Lodge and Star Saloon. Today, those properties are worth over $125 million collectively. Again, since the mid 1980's, Dubroff was also responsible for driving the performance of a portfolio of Marriott hotels which were sold for premium pricing compared to development costs as well as guiding the turn around of the Staybridge Suites in Cherry Creek, CO and the Hotel Aspen in Aspen, CO.
When IBM purchased Lotus Development Corp. in June of 1995, Dubroff was quoted in the June 12, 1995 New York Times article, "Notes on Notes Users". Recognized for his understanding of Lotus Notes and other Lotus products, Dubroff represented Lotus as its featured speaker for the opening session of the 1994 Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC). In the Lotus Notes Idea Book, written by Jeff Kovel, Kent Quirk and Jay Gabin in 1995, an entire chapter dedicated to the sales management practices employed by AIM in the management of its group of Residence Inn by Marriott hotels.
In addition to his Lotus Notes-based Hotel Management Tools, Dubroff has also developed numerous Internet solutions including: Staybridge Suites, Snownet, an on-line winter travel and products directory; Alpha Inn Management, the internet and intranet website for Alpha Inn Management; Telluride Visitor Services, representing the Telluride, CO business community on-line; Inn-dex, the Internet yellow pages for the hospitality industry; RESINN, a web directory for Residence Inn hotels; the Groupquest Software web site. In 1995, Dubroff also developed an Internet marketing and publishing solution using Lotus Notes called WaveMaker. Again, in a technology and marketing capacity Dubroff has consulted for Marriott International, Lotus Development Corp., and The Peaks Resort. Dubroff is a 1982 graduate of Cornell University, from which he received a bachelors degree in hotel and restaurant management.
